Ancient Medicine for the movement of life.
Dr Maggie Stein bridges twenty-five years of Western medical clinical experience with the diagnostic depth of the classical Chinese channel system to restore balance, vitality, and flow.
An Ancient Approach to Healing
Through the wisdom of an ancient medicine, I listen to the deeper patterns of the body, restore flow and create space for the natural intelligence of life to awaken.
Today, my practice is centred on the complete channel system of classical Chinese medicine. It is about understanding the whole person — body, mind and spirit — rather than focusing solely on isolated symptoms.
Through classical pulse-taking, tongue diagnosis, deep conversation and listening, I explore the whole landscape of the individual and identify where flow has become constrained.
In Classical Chinese medicine, food is considered an important part of medicine. Every food has its own energetic qualities and influences the body in different ways. What we eat each day can either support the body's capacity to heal and restore balance, or contribute to patterns that are keeping us unwell.
Food therapy looks beyond simply what is considered "healthy." It considers the energetic nature of food, how it is prepared, the season, and what your individual body needs. Through simple, thoughtful changes to everyday meals, food becomes an integral part of treatment—supporting the work of the channels and helping the body move towards greater balance, vitality and wholeness.
Treatment works with the complete system of channels through which Qi flows throughout the body, with the intention of releasing blockages, restoring free flow and bringing greater balance and harmony to the whole being.
